The Importance of Spending Your Free-Time in the Right Way

Stress Reduction in Essex

Our daily interactions with life can be quite draining. Get up to go to work, do your job, go home, and sit there staring that the TV because a person feels too drained to do anything else. This leads to feeling unfulfilled and experiencing a kind of emptiness inside.

The same can apply to someone, who, because of their age, cannot get a job and their day to day activities feel meaningless. There’s nothing to motivate them each day, which can lead to depression. It can feel quite disempowering to be in such a position in life.

As can be seen, either through going to work or not being able to get a job, a person’s decisions on how to spend their free time can lead to a negative path which can feel very insignificant to the person involved. It also increases stress responses within the individual too.

Our stress reduction in Essex hypnosis sessions, are there to counteract the stress that’s being generated. Clearly, each individual needs guidance on a case by case basis. However, it is habitual responses to the challenges that life throws at us, that can create such a negative way forward.

It’s our role at James Dooley Hypnotherapy to give a client guidance in addition to them receiving hypnotherapy. To alleviate an empty way of living, there’s a multitude of options to choose from that can inspire a person to live a life that’s not entangled being stuck staring at the TV.

Obviously, finances play a big role in what a person can do. Nevertheless, if anyone wants to improve their quality of life, there are things people can do during their free time that will make them feel better about themselves.

On the small business website, inc.com, a blog entitled, ‘7 Ways Successful People Spend Their Free Time,’ outlines the importance of doing positive things when work is over. Here’s what they suggest:

‘They Exercise: Physical exercise is important for both physical and mental health. Taking a half hour after work or on a weekend can get your blood pumping, get your endorphins flowing, and revitalize your spirit. You’ll build muscle, burn calories, and oxygenate your brain–giving you a release after a day of stress…’

‘They Read: Reading is a lifelong skill, and successful people never stop reading new books. Whether it’s fiction or nonfiction, books help give you a greater understanding of the world around you. They introduce you to new characters, new environments, new cultures, new philosophies, and new ideas, and might even help you build new skills (if you’re reading nonfiction, at least) …’

‘They Take Classes: Education shouldn’t stop at college, and shouldn’t be restricted to institutions. The most successful people in the world are the ones who make a commitment to never stop learning. They’re always incorporating new skills for their resumes and learning new aspects of the world around them…’

‘They Volunteer: Volunteering, no matter where or how you do it, is beneficial for you and your community. Whether you’re helping to clean up a highway, working in a soup kitchen, or providing mentorship to a group of young professionals, your time goes a long way toward improving the community around you…’

‘They Have Hobbies: Focusing exclusively on work might seem like a fast track to success. With nothing else distracting you, you can funnel your full effort into your job and do in one week what would take most people two. But this approach has a nasty downside; it stresses you out, sets you up for burnout, and prevents you from developing skills in any other areas…’

‘They Spend Time with Friends and Family: … your job isn’t everything. Focusing too much on your career is self-sabotage, no matter how counterintuitive that might sound. If you want to be successful in life, you have to prioritize your personal relationships–your bond with your friends and family members. No matter how much you want to be successful and climb the corporate ladder quickly, you can’t neglect your friends and family to do it…’

Anxiety Reduction in Essex

As can be seen from the article in inc.com, it’s vital to spend your quality time in the right way. For those who don’t have much in the way of finances, going out for walks, meeting up with people who are kind and trustworthy, be it friends or family, is important.

Perhaps there maybe schemes run by the local council that offer subsides to those who can’t afford to do things. At the end of the day, it’s all about stepping out of those self-imposed comfort zones and just getting out there and doing it.

Our anxiety reduction in Essex packages, are there to look at the cause of a client’s anxiety. But, at the same time, empower the client to be in control of their emotions. What is also vital for anyone who’s experiencing anxiety, is to feel empowered and in control enough to start doing different things. These things can be anything a client feels they’d like to do. There’s no right or wrong in any of this, just as long as it gives a person a feeling of betterment. It’s our role at James Dooley Hypnotherapy to encourage the anxious client to expand their horizons, once a good level of self-awareness is introduced.

As you’ve just read, a better quality of life can be obtained. It’s just a matter of getting in the habit of doing things. Once involved in different stuff to add to a person’s life experience, it gives a sense of rejuvenation to the individual involved. A person, must, however, do things that they want to do. An individual doesn’t want to be doing things for the sake of doing it, and having no enjoyment as a result. That would be a complete waste of their time.

What I would highly recommend for anyone who’s experiencing any form of negative emotions, to start reading books that give them a truer understanding of who they are. Books that offer hope and insight to those who feel lost, and need some sort of compass to show them the way forward (as explained in the inc.com article).
